On to batting and backing and quilting and binding.
Batting: Nature-Fil Bamboo/Organic Cotton (50/50) from stash.
Backing: cotton small print flowers in medium blue on an ecru background. It's stash and so soft.
Quilting: Don't know yet what I will do. With the blank squares in the center the possibilities are endless...

That's a real beauty Lynda! The colors are just delicious and I love those edge fabrics! So, so pretty! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so pretty.
ReplyDeleteDANG IT! I wrote a comment than went to look at your quilt again. I maxed the picture up to see the colours in the very outside border and when I came back to finish my comment.... it was gone! Now I am P.O.ed and can't remember what it was I was going to say. You know.... I believe I still am suffering from chemo-brain.Anyway I do remember I want to comment on how lovely the purples and blues were together. Nice work sista!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely. The purple is great!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of colors and scale. I tried Bamboo batting once and had a hard time with it. I hope when you quilt this top you will share some pointers on how to work with it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Looking forward to seeing how you quilt it!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the shades of purple in this one. I'm looking forward to seeing it quilted!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for partying at Needle and Thread Thursday!

Floored when I saw this --- I had used the same fabric that is in your last borders years ago to line a jewlery pouch (also purple themed) that was a gift for a friend. Always loved that print! Glad to see it again and put to such good use. Have fun quilting this one!
ReplyDeleteLove your flimsy. I worded on purple this month too!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt. I love the blue and purple together - very Royal!
