Poetry Interval

by Robt Browning Hamilton

I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chatted all the way;

But left me none the wiser

For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow;

And ne’er a word said she;

But, oh! The things I learned from her,

When Sorrow walked with me.

Teri, on right, and I attended our high school band reunion in June 2005.
The last time I saw her alive.

  1. Thanks for sharing that poem. It was new to me, as is the author. Peace be with you.

  2. I'm so sorry for you.
    My prayers for Teri and your family.
    A big hug, Lynda
