Lemonade Stand a Rousing Success
The girls made signs - Lemonade Stand * Thursday Afternoon * By the Office
We hung them on telephone poles at kid height and one by the Office.
(shown here)
And today was a sunny Thursday !~!
(l to r: Scout, Piper and Ginger)
One dad built the stand itself despite house-hunting on a tight timeframe.
The girls painted it to their own specs.
We picked Atchison Village-grown lemons and squeezed them.
And the thirsty came.
Over thirty cups were served with the "Kid Special" lemon wedge,
a big spoonful of ice and homemade deliciousness.

And huge Smiles.
Thanks to all who came out and supported us.
How fun. I love that they hammed it up for the camera in the picture of the stand.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, they are a bunch of hams--if nothing else, they are children of the digital age. One afternoon I was with the tallest one, Piper, took a pic of her and she asked how long would it take me to put it on Facebook. She was born in the summer of 2008-smack into the heart of the boom !~!
ReplyDeleteNow I see what you were saying about selling lemonade. Congrats to the crew!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phyllis, we had a super time and they got a taste of the business world.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome! I know they will have fond memories of this for a long, long time!
